The Annual Red Ribbon Kick-Off Campaign

Action Sudbury's flagship impaired driving awareness campaign is

an annual event to remind citizens to "DRIVE AWARE, NOT IMPAIRED"

The Red Ribbon Campaign is a commitment by Canadians to drive safe and sober. It is a highly visible, community public awareness program which utilizes volunteer participation in promotion of the message that impaired driving deaths and injuries are needless tragedies and totally preventable.

Many Red Ribbon supporters leave their red ribbons tied on their vehicles all year long. In fact, the only reason we can think of to remove your old red ribbon is to replace it with a new one!

The fight to end impaired driving does not
stop once the holiday decorations come down. We hope to see you at the next Red Ribbon Kick Off event held in November every year.

ATTENTION: Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the 2020 Campaign launch will not be taking place this year.

Two good reasons to tie a red ribbon onto a vehicle:

  1. To show respect for the thousands of Canadians who have lost their lives or who have been injured due to alcohol related crashes.

  2. To remind people to drive sober through the holidays and throughout the year.
