Action Sudbury hosted the Red Ribbon Kick Off on November 30.

Action Sudbury covered the cost's of 40 students to take the Smart Serve Course at OSAID conference held in Sudbury from November 16 to the 18.

Action Sudbury donated $1,500.00 to help to cover some of the cost for a calendar being produced by the Health Unit.

Action Sudbury has donated $3,500.00 to the Snowmobile Trail Officer Patrol to help offset costs incurred while volunteering to patrol the snowmobile trails. To date we have donated $8,820.00 to S.T.O.P. & another $700.00 to the Young Snowmobilers Ride.

Action Sudbury sponsored the Drug Awareness Week & Movie Festival on November 29 & 30 by supplying a free drink & popcorn to the first 100 students.

Action Sudbury sponsored two community ride checks this fall with the Greater Sudbury Police Service at a cost of over $3,000.00.t

Action Sudbury handed out  two (2) $500.00 bursaries this year. The recipients were Stephanie Kirkbride of Confederation & Sarah Ellis from Marymount.

Action Sudbury sponsors the world famous Evolutionary Band.

Action Sudbury sponsored spot checks conducted by Greater Sudbury Police on Friday, May 24. Officers checked 170 vehicles, which led to eight Highway Traffic Act charges and one person losing their driver's licence for 12 hours. Action Sudbury chairman Ron Roy said his group will continue sponsoring Greater Sudbury Polices spot checks. "It's apparent with the three people being charged with impaired driving over the weekend during regular patrols (that) drivers are still not getting the message, regarding drinking and driving," Roy said in a release. Action Sudbury is a non-profit community organization comprised of individuals and agencies with the goal to eliminate the tragedies caused by impaired drivers in the Sudbury area. The volunteer group was formed in 1984 through the efforts of the late mayor Peter Wong.

Action Sudbury participated in the 2007 Police Week activities in the Southridge Mall.

Action Sudbury donated $1,500.00 to enable six Marymount Academy O.S.A.I.D students to attend the Ontario Students Against Impaired Driving Conference '07 where the focus is on student leadership, motivation and education.  This year's  #1 Motivational/Leadership Conference is the 20th annual conference and hosted 300+ delegates from across Ontario.

Action Sudbury also donated $300.00 Marymount Academy O.S.A.I.D students to return to Sault Ste. Marie. The Marymount OSAID girls that attended the OSAID zone conference in Sault Ste Marie last November, have been asked to return to the Sault to participate in the production of PSAs on Anti Drinking & Driving.  Five (5) girls from Marymount will be going along with a parent, for this one-day promo.  There is $90,000 worth of funds available to run these PSAs at prime TV times i.e. American Idol.
